Grand Villa Casino Edmonton is attached to the east end of Rogers Place arena and the Community Rink, which is adjacent to the arena, and was the first portion of the Ice District, a $2.5 billion mixed-use sports and entertainment district being developed on 25 acres of land in Downtown Edmonton, Alberta, to be completed and open to the public.

The casino is located adjacent to the JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District, which is expected to open in March 2019. One of only three JW Marriott branded hotels in Canada, it boasts Edmonton's largest hotel ballroom featuring 10,500 sq. ft, 21 ft ceilings.
